This is the re-issue of the original Litany EP from 2003 that appeared on Test Pattern Records from controversial thrashers Fucked Up, who combine the power of the past 30 years of raw hardcore punk with mystical undercurrents, incisive political and social commentary, and some subtle but fucking amazing psych/kraut influences. This particular record contains four blasts of their more straightforward heavy, speedy, catchy as fuck hardcore punk, "Litany", "Colour Removal", "Reset The Ride", and "What Could Have Been", complete with killer spiteful lyrics. Fucked Up's stripped down approach belies some truly berserk guitar playing though, and as always there are several currents of complex thought running through the music, text, and artwork captured on this document. Sonically, these ragers channel everything from early 80's HC circa Negative Approach and Black Flag to New Wave, distilling their influences and energies into pure circle pit magick. The 7" comes packaged in a poster sleeve that folds out to display a killer piece of collage art.
