FLESHPRESS  I  CD   (Shifty)   9.99
I IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE FOR ORDER

Finnish sludgecore from FLESHPRESS. Five songs in forty minutes, so that should give you an idea of what to expect. Originally released in 2001 on LP by Kult Of Nihilow, US sludge label Shifty has righteously resurrected this exercise in downtuned pain. Opening tracks "Rise Of The Superior" and "All Things Broken" unleash a wave of molasses-slow riffs and diseased vocals broken up by passages of icy space-psychedelia, like Eyehategod at their slowest jamming with Sons Of Otis (or maybe Acid Mothers Temple?). Brutal. "Trust No One - Coming Home" kicks in with Buzzov*en style speed and maintains the hate through a flurry of feedback and razor sharp riffs...while closing tracks "Jumibian Bongoloid" (excellent song title!) and "( )" dig in with humungoid sticky riffs that wrap up this album quite well. The CD comes in a thick sleeve and is polybagged. Total misanthropic noise filtered through 5 mph riffs. Crushing stuff.
