FLYING LUTTENBACHERS, THE Destroy All Music Revisited CD (Skin Graft) 15.98Absolutely essential for fans of hyperactive punk-jazz insanity, Destroy All Music Revisited is the killer re-issue of the Flying Luttenbacher's landmark 1994 album fully re-mastered and extended with seven additional previously unreleased tracks from the same time period. These sessions featured the lethal quintet lineup of renowned jazz saxophonist Ken Vandermark, saxophonist and synth player Chad Organ, guitarist Dylan Posa, Jeb Bishop on trombone, bass, and casio, and of course the mastermind behind the Flying Luttenbachers, drummer Weasel Walter. These recordings are the last that this lineup recorded before Weasel disintegrated the group, later turning the Luttenbachers into the death metal/jazzthrash trio that would record Revenge and Gods Of Chaos. Although Destroy All Music captures the band before Weasel would take it into more metallic territory, this is still some of most incendiary free jazz/no wave/improv thrash you'll ever hear, 74 minutes of fiery free jazz exploration that reaches heights of total ecstatic noise, storms of blastbeats and screaming playful sax blowing, squalls of searing feedback and guitar noise battling reeds and Weasel's chaos clatter attack, hardcore-infected bop, and bursts of bonecrushing distorted noise rock. This deluxe re-issue comes in a full color jewel case which includes an 8-page fold-out booklet that features detailed liner notes, photos, show fliers from the 1993/1994 period, and more.
