FECALOVE Like A Dog CD (Bloodlust!) 12.98An older disc from Italian noise/PE/scum dealer Nicola Vinciguerra that was issued on the Bloodlust! imprint in 2008, Like A Dog is another filthy dose of his extreme electronic depravity under the Fecalove banner, a mix of punishing rhythmic harsh noise, bestiality fetishism, blackened BM style gargles, wet orgasmic sound collages, and ultra violent power electronics moves wound together into a deliciously depraved and chaotic orgy of aural slime. Ocean waves crash over a blur of voices at the beginning of "Apvania", then the distortion kicks in, a huge block of buzzing, crackling black amp drone, churning and super heavy droning electrical hum and crushing harsh noise that borders on total wall, with distorted, trademark almost black metallish vokills. The clanking machine noise and pounding blocks of feedback of "Total Punishment" morphs into searing feedback and ultra-violent rhythmic harsh noise, which is suddenly ripped apart by those horrific black metal gargles before breaking into a series of bestiality porn samples for a minute, then blasts back into the avalanche of harsh metal noise. The title track is eight minutes of power electronics beamed from the pits of hell, a nightmarish ordeal of screaming feedback and gargling vocal hatred. Some of the later tracks on Like A Dog focus on this sort of structured, atmospheric PE, and fans of Vinciguerra's other more classical PE-styled project Taeter will no doubt dig this album heavily as well, but the album closes with pure HNW, the nearly 13 minute wall titled "Darwin" that crashes over you with all of the inexorable force and weight of a concrete structure caving in over your head. It's altogether a murderous set from Fecalove, which has become one of my fave current noise/PE artists over the past year, and as usual, the album is adorned with Vinciguerra's wonderfully vile and obscene cartoon illustration work that always gives his Fecalove releases a distinct (and disgusting) visual look.
