DEAD BODY LOVE + FECALOVE self-titled CASSETTE (Turgid Animal) 6.98Two of Italy's fiercest practitioners of harsh noise get together to erase brain matter with this full-length cassette. Dead Body Love is one of Italy's oldest and heaviest names in the field of harsh walls, and together with that freakazoid in Fecalove, they emit four lengthy slabs ("Mio Padre E' Un Uomo Buono", "Incesto/Apulia", "Tutte Cose", "Michelle E Laura") of ultra-intense blacknoise that's about as crushing as it comes. The tape appears to focus it's theme on a couple of Italian backwater scumfucks from Torino who systematically raped their offspring for decades before being arrested earlier in '09, and serves up a scathing indictment of them and the rest of their family (who apparently endorsed their activities) via absolutely hate-filled noise. Yikes!
Two tracks per side, starting off with an extended prologue of angry men yelling in Italian before this finally launches into hell, each track jamming together furious low-end feedback squelch, roaring distorted amp-sludge, high-pitched treble howl, and torturous metallic scrape that's amplified to decibel levels that are powerful enough to flatten a small village. Like much of Dead Body Love's output, this shit is so dense and heavy that the source material could easily be the amassed recordings of 2,500 death metal bands all being layered on top of each other and compressed into ten minute chunks of chaos, for all I know. The point is, is that this is ULTRA HEAVY, like Whitehouse shot through with bowel-flattening levels of low end, and whenever the horrific ultra-distorted vocal screams come ripping through the wall of blackened aural violence, it's truly some scary shit. For those of us addicted to ultra-heavy harsh noise, this one is a definite keeper. It's about half an hour long, and comes in red/black sleeve.
