CREATION IS CRUCIFIXION  Dethrone Or Devour  7" VINYL   (King Of The Monsters)   4.98
Dethrone Or Devour IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE FOR ORDER

Ever since the new Human Quena Orchestra album that we released earlier this year came out, I've been going back and trying to dig up some of the old stuff from Ryan Unks' old band Creation Is Crucifixion, the seminal tech-grinders from Pittsburgh who created their own complex anti-technological ideology, moved out to the Bay Area and turned into an awesome experimental noise/grind/activist collective and in the process helped spawn a million mathy grindcore bands. I ended up coming across a handful of copies of this old 7" EP from the band, their first release as a matter of fact, which came out on King Of The Monsters back in 1998. This is the repress of that record that came out a few years later, a four-song EP with songs titled "The Master's Tools Will Never Dismantle The Master's House", "Dethrone Or Devour (While There Is A Soul In Prison I Am Not Free)" and "Creationist Crucifixion (Verse I: Saviors Lie Slain)", all of 'em super short and chaotic, the first three are pummeling mathy metallic grind assaults kind of similiar to older Discordance Axis but more complex and angular, where the last track is a piece of looped big band music with William S. Burroughs sampled over it. AS they were just getting started when the band recorded this EP, Dethrone Or Devour isn't as developed and complex as their later releases, nor are there any of the electronic noise elements that would figure heavily into their later stuff, but this is still a furious fuckin' slab of innovative grindmetal with intelligent, though-provoking cyberpunk lyrics that were way outside of what was going on at the time that this was released. Comes in a full-color sleeve with inserts.
