OK, this final CD in the series of DxAx re-issues from Hydrahead actually only contains 2 unreleased Discordance Axis tracks...so some might grumble about that. Our Last Day is actually more of a tribute/tying up of loose ends sort of collection, of assorted creative shrapnel and flotsam from the existence of what could have been the greatest grindcore band to ever stride the planet. No joke. DxAx delivered some of the catchiest,most mindblowing grindcore ever created. So, this is pretty essential for hardcore Discordance Axis fans: Our Last Day contains the two aforementioned unreleased Discordance Axis tracks, a bunch of Discordance Axis covers as recorded by Gate, Mortalized, Melt Banana (fuck yeah!), and NoiseEar, the complete version of Merzbow's remix of The Inalienable Dreamless, a new song from singer Jon Chang's shreddingnew band Gridlink (with members of Melt Banana and Mortalized), and the Cide Projekt covers/re-mixes...Cide Projekt is an 8-bit grind outfit that did 10 reconfigurations of Discordance Axis songs...what you get is essentially Discordance Axis songs if they had been on the soundtrack to an old Nintendo game, sans vocals. Some people will hate the Cide Projekt stuff, but for those of us that geek out over "Nintendo Violence" like Dataclast and Electrocutionerdz, it's pretty funny/rad. Comes in a cool DVD case like the other DxAx re-issues from Hydra Head.
