FOUR WAY ANAL TOUCHFIGHT  Heritage  LP   (RRRecords)   12.98

Who is Four Way Anal Touchfight? What is Four Way Anal Touchfight? I don't even know where to begin with this record. I picked this up from RRRecords mainly out of curiousity, but this is absolutely NOTHING like the harsh noise, abstract sound cut-up, or abrasive improv that you'd normally expect from RRR. Nope. From what little I've been able to find out about Four Way Anal Touchfight (and it's very little, just try Googling the band - aside from their Myspace page and the virtually inscrutable blog entries that are posted there, there's no information on them to be found anywhere), this is the sole full length from the Lowell, Massachusetts based duo, two dudes who dress up in flowing robes and weird white masks similiar to the one that MF Doom wears, and who perform a bizarre mix of cheapskate industrial metal, scatalogical surrealism, and mongoloid casio music. Imagine the singer from Brainbombs after a serious head injury ranting about buttholes, Superdanishes, vikings, and UFOs backed by a low-fi band that's equal parts Devo, Skatenigs, and Residents. There are some interesting psychedelic noise passages that appear thoughout the album, but the retarded songs ("Powerfinger", "Spaceass", "Superdanish", etc) and beyond-retarded lyrics (sung in a vaguely Teutonic sing-speak) make this unquestionably the most fucked up, bizarre release on RRRecords. On red vinyl.
